On the fringe of the Austin Warehouse District, this iconic South Texas Icehouse looks right at home. Swanky interiors with a tongue-in-cheek sensibility. The oversized rattlesnake sign out front slithers the length of the building, with it’s head fashioned from a Harley gas tank and blue neon rattlers, it engages you immediately. Inside, crisp lime green and mustard colored walls frame a way cool version of a 60’s diner. Massive taxidermy gazes down from walls and a 16 ft. photo mural by Bob Daddy-O Wade backdrops deep black vinyl booths. Rattlesnakes under glass and plenty of Mexican prayer candles keep the evil spirits at bay. |
